This was the last activity in our summer jar. Every summer I have 100 ideas of fun summery things to do and the girls get to pull one out of the jar each day. This was our last. It was a rainy day so actually, it was the perfect day for this event. We drew 30 sunshine's and taped them all over our town! It is called Guerilla Art. For us it is about making a positive statement, sending out good Karma. It is a way to express your views and opinion to a large audience in a anonymous way. Who would not love a Ray of sunshine on a cloudy day?!

Bike Wash
Made this the other day for the girls and they LOVE it! I cost maybe..$3.00? I used 3/4inch PVC, Two elbows, and 2 "T's". I drilled the holes along the top pipe (Little tip, when you are drilling on the pipe put the "T's" on both ends so it will lay flat, otherwise you have to hold the pipe really tight...its just easier, trust me) then I duck taped everything together.. well because Raley is wild and I figured it would come down the first time she swung herself around it. Also I forgot to get end caps... just didn't think about it.. so I used duck tape for that also. Worked like a charm! They have loved it, even Hamilton the Duck has gone threw it! We made this during our Ocean/Water week. I will put up everything that I do with them for Homeschooling, It just takes awhile to get it all together I have probably 8 or 9..maybe more, units that we have done over the summer!

Homemade Chalk!
We used a recipe I found on Pinterest. The only thing I would say is that it was hard to get the chalk into the Toilet Paper rolls, maybe if it was runnier it would be easier mostly because the Wax paper kept falling in. The plaster of paris firms up fast, really fast. Maybe if it was more runny it would not firm up as fast and be easier for the kids to do. So basically I would add a little more water then what the tub of plaster of paris says. I got mine at Michael's with a 40% off coupon and it was under $5, with plenty to spare.
Here is the site that I got the recipe from please go there!

Fairy Garden
So Lilly and I made these, she helped with most of the painting and it was really good for taking things slow and to listen carefully to where and what color I told her to paint! I glued all the jewels on.
Same with this house, she did what ever she wanted!
We made a table for the fairys to have a Tea Party! We also have
Here are some of our Fairy's and Friends. I really wanted to buy the Mary Cicely Barker Fairy's but they are so expensive and breakable and I wanted to be able to play with our fairy garden.
Some of the items we have collected to make pathways and such!
Lilly did this one
This one she I told her to do what ever she wanted! I think it came out cool!
This one she did mostly on her own with really good listening, you can see where the green got high so I put jewels around the bottom and white parts on the top
Same with this one she helped me paint and listen really good I think!!

I have some little pinwheels in tiny pots and wooden thread spoons I painted brown for seats to go with the mushroom tables. I have sealed all of the houses with a outdoor sealer. Here is the village outside of Lillys and Raleys playhouse! They love that its all playable!

Vinyl and the Cricut
I made these buckets for the girls to use outside! They like to carry around there toys and find things and are always walking around with there little fist full of "goodies"! I also made Lilly a label for her gardening bucket to hold all of her gardening items with her initials on the shovels etc. ( You can see the "L" on one of the shovels if you look closely).
I made some more name label's for these bottles that we got at Michael's (Same kind for Lilly's Birthday party) I did more I just didn't have them in the pic.

Those rocks Lilly picked up on the preschool playground everyday and would bring them to me when I picked her up. She was always so excited to show me her rocks that she collected for me, so I put them in that Large Jar to keep!! She so cute!! We have had a blast doing these so far!! I hope it gives you good some good ideas!!

The past Week
This past week has been Crazy!!! Lilly is done with her first year of preschool, and she is Turing 4!!! I know I said I would have the tutorial for her invitations in two days and that was a week ago but we have been so busy doing this..
I showed them how to play with Cottonwood, they went crazy!! We marched around, blew it, I know a lot of people hate cottonwood but I have always loved it!! We have two huge cottonwood trees and it always looks like its snowing in the summer time to me!! You can see how covered the grass is.
Ray blowing some Cottonwood
Lots of swinging!! Shes such a monkey!!
Sharing Ice cream and secrets
These little Betty's came up! Don't you love Peonies!!
I have the tutorials done for a lot of the items on my To Do list from last week I just need to find time to post them!! Lilly's Birthday party had to be rescheduled for next week do to all the Rain, Storms, and tornado sirens going off . I do not think a bunch of soaking wet fairies would be to much fun!!Word on the street is you cant fly if your wings are wet, or at least according to Lilly ( and Disney) ;) But after rescheduling her party ( Giving mother nature a good fist shaking) the clouds parted and all the neighborhood girls came over and I was informed that I would be having a sprinkler party! Ha, I am such a push over! We started off with the sprinklers but pulled out the big guns and broke out the giant tarps set it up it up at the bottom of the playset slide and had a blast, I even went down !! It was so fun! The after effects to the poor grass was not so fun but ehhh it was worth it!
We got the rest of our Garden planted! Until Today when I bought Some strawberry plants and a watermelon plant. I think they would be so fun to have this summer!! On the other side of the yard we have a spot were we have not grown anything in years so I am going to put in some blueberry plants!!
xoxo
